From all flavors, I’ve bought – Black Tahini & Chai, Pistachio & Lion’s Mane and Salty Fig. So far, I tried the Black Tahini & Chai and Salty Fig with Almond & Carob, and here’s what I think about them:
Black Tahini & Chai: Wow. So freaking yummy. I rarely see snacks that are made with tahini, so when I saw that this bar was made with BLACK tahini, I got quite excited. Luckily, as expected, it did not disappoint.
The black tahini flavor is what won me over — it adds a beautifully nutty, slightly bitter depth that balances perfectly with the chocolate. It’s rich without being overpowering and brings gives the bar a unique flavor.
The sweetness was just right too — not overly sweet, but not lacking either. It hits a perfect balance where you can enjoy the flavor without being overshadowed by sugar.
Salty Fig with Almond & Carob : I was quite excited for this, since I like carob, and I love figs equally as much as tahini. This one was very mild overall, and I didn’t get as much of the fig flavor as I was hoping for. The sweetness was, as with the other bars, very subtle, which I liked with the Black Tahini flavor. However, since the fig didn’t stand out as much, it left the bar feeling a bit flat.
That being said, I did appreciate the touch of saltiness, which added a nice contrast to the other mild flavors. It’s not that it wasn’t good — it just didn’t leave the same impression as the Black Tahini one. If I had to rank it, this one would be lower on my list, but I can still see it appealing to someone who prefers softer, more understated flavors.
Pistachio & Lion’s Mane: Surprisingly AMAZING. Surprisingly just because I think pistachio stuff is often overrated and the flavor never really stands out. Until now. This flavor was super yummy. The salt enhances the flavors, and the creaminess from cocoa butter and almond butter just makes everything so delicious. It is not too sweet, but just enough to satisfy a craving. Lions mane is an additional, *sweet* bonus.
My final rating:
Since I am a huuuge tahini lover, it goes without saying that Black Tahini & Chai is my favorite one. The bold, nutty black tahini combined with the warm, aromatic chai spices is unbeatable for me, for now. Pistachio was also super good, and would buy it again💯. I’m excited to try the rest of the flavors, so I’ll keep you updated with my thoughts once I’ve given them a taste.
